a. School supply giveaway: Discussion ensued regarding increasing cost of items
and where to economize, and what amount budgeted for outreach should be the

designated donations. It was agreed to spend an amount equal about one fifth of
the outreach budget, which, based on last year, could be recovered through
donations. Fr Mike will provide the ice cream. Set up will be on August 14th and
announcements will be on Marfa Public Radio, in The Big Bend Sentinel, and in
flyers.
b. Bathroom renovation. The bid from Marginot Builders for the small bath was
reviewed. It was agreed that we will submit the bid to the Trustees on Aug 19th,
while seeking other competitive bids; if none are received we are prepared to go
forward with Marginot’s and ask that additional amount be added for
miscellaneous repairs that may arise in the course of the project, to be paid from
gift received this year for capital improvements. Fr Mike and Tricia approved
and Joni recused.
